i like these cats, i really do. but the 2 or 3 songs of theirs that i was really diggin when they dropped -- i'm not really diggin anymore. i hope they can continue to be inventive. the skeptic in me thinks its dangerous to base your style on retro-ness.

Peep how shit went from suburban white kids obsessing bout inner-city hip-hop life/culture/etc. to suburban and city black kids (one of them little niggas went to Rich South apparently) obsessing over the freedom and new found joy they feel from expressing themselves like...white kids from the suburbs. "When niggas turn into gods...walls come tumbling..." seem like blackfolks don't want to be godbody no more - apparently it's too hard, not enough amusement, and the paper ain't right. might as well just be a product of america, huh. popculturebreed like a muhfugha.
