I personally gave up on the smartphone game after my Palm Treo 650 died, due to the information overload I realized I was suffering from after it broke. I've since reverted back to my trusty, minimalist Nokia 3595 and feel freer with each passing day. I've even considered getting a real home phone line again (complete with answering machine and unlimited long distance for $25 a month) and ditching my celly alltogether.

But for those still wanting to email, instant message, check Facebook and keep their life's information on their phone, this could be big for making smartphones affordable, or should I say for actually making the affordable smartphones functional. To the Apple cult members who have to buy a $30 adapter just to play your iPhone with a regular miniplug jack (among other brilliant Steve Jobs pimp smacks), your iPhone will self-destruct in 5... 4... 3... 2...
