This looks like Rodney King part two [Philly]

(BBC) US police are investigating a video showing a group of officers in Philadelphia apparently pulling three suspects out of a car and beating them.

The incident was filmed by a TV helicopter overhead. The officers were responding to reports of a shooting nearby, police said.

Members of the force are said to have been put on edge by the killing of an officer on Saturday during a robbery.

The officer was the third killed on duty in the city in the last two years.

"On the surface it certainly does not look good in terms of the amount of force that was used," Police Commissioner Charles Ramsey admitted, after seeing the video.

"But we don't want to rush to judgement."

It was not clear what preceded the confrontation.

Attorney D Scott Perrine, who represents the three men seen in the video, called the police actions unjustified.

He said police told him all three men would be charged with aggravated assault.

Ditto on the "I hate muhfuckin western media"! In fact, I'm liable to hate muhfuckin western AN-Y-THING!
Yeah Philly is NOTORIOUS for police brutality and gestapo-like administers of so-called justice.
MOVE brought it to the forefront I think, but I mean when you look at Philadelphia historically, you see so much brutality against Black flks, completely dismissing the notion of northern benevolence.
On the contrary.
Plus, they're trying to implement "Stop-and-Frisk" a measure that will allow police to stop any person (regardless of probable cause) and frisk them (for drugs, guns, etc). Completely against the constitution but what does that matter! lmao.
Yeah, so they're setting up this whole "Philly is all of a sudden SO excessively violent that we MUST implement stop-and-frisk for how ELSE can we protect Philadelphians?!?!?" situation.
But then again, that's a natural biprduct of gentrification...you have to move 'em out AND control their bodies, their physical movement, keep a tight grasp on their necks.
Lets get Free.

Okay, shelley, co-sign on every single thing you said. Muva eff all of them.

First off, I love how the video is "no longer available" from YouTube. Perverts can watch Lindsay Lohan deep throat anonymous cock but I can't see police brutality from this website that's supposed to be about "broadcasting yourself." Thanks Google.

Second of all, isn't the overall homicide rate in Philly like 400 a year or something ridiculous like that? It's worse than Baltimore! You have mothers losing children to gun violence but I'm supposed to excuse this kind of behavior because two cops were killed doing their job in three years? When people KNOW that one of the top risks of being a cop is that bulletproof vests don't always work?

And thirdly, you mean to tell me that the people who got their asses whooped are the ones being charged with aggravated assault? How is that? Did someone say, "stop beating me, motherfucker" and that's how they got charged?

And lastly, the only thing people can come up with is "Duh, let's have a hastily organized rally even though we don't even know what we're protesting against and rallying for"?

This really is getting out of pocket and it's only going to get worse in way more places besides Philly if muvaeffas don't get their stuff together and start putting in some real work.

I'm tired of this shit!
