URB ALT 2008 (Underground Railroad Broadcasting Alternatives) launches on June 21st at the Harlem Stage Gatehouse with artists paying tribute to avant garde jazz master Sun Ra. The following weekend the Festival crosses the bridge into Brooklyn for the first time at BAMcafe. On the evenings of June 27th and 28th the URB ALT Festival will feature artists hailing from California, Japan, Atlanta and New York.
