White folks love their Trader Joe's. But I still can't figure out why grocery stores like this are afraid of coming to the hood. In the instances where under served communities stand up and fight for a supermarket, the money it makes is crazy. You'd think they would have figured that out by now. What's the downside? I ain't heard of too many supermarkets being robbed.
Plus, unlike other, more finicky folks, people in them under served communities will stand in line for 30 minutes at the grocery store for them good deals. The new Stop And Shop in Flatbush (Brooklyn, NYC) is always packed. There's probably room for two in the same 5-block radius.
