Coodie & Chike {video directors}

It's usually the folks behind the scenes who create the images you see in front of the scenes. Coodie & Chike are those dudes. I'm impressed with their consistent gritty style that evokes feelings of black soul. The energy in their projects is always honest and nostalgic; able to be related to. Inquiring Minds Magazine put together a nice interview with them (you have to visit their site and have flash installed to see it though) and Fake Shore Drive recently did a video interview with them (below).

The duo is responsible for a good number of the cool music videos you've seen lately (including the infamous Erykah Badu booty-revealing Window Seat), are working with Jay Electronica to produce a video for "Exhibit C", and had a hand in founding the anti-wack world outfit Creative Control with Dame Dash. Below you'll find a full videography, including Jesus Walks Part 3 (Kanye West), Me And The Devil (Gil Scott-Heron), and History (Mos Def f. Talib Kweli). {Kanye West - Jesus Walks Part 3} {Erykah Badu - Window Seat} {Gil Scott-Heron - Me And The Devil} {Mos Def - Ghetto Rock} {Mos Def - History ft.
