Africa's oldest liberation movement turns 100 / Does ANC fight for same values?

Our friend Sean Jacobs from The New School and Africa Is A Country was featured this past week on Al Jazeera to help answer the question, "does South Africa's ruling ANC still fight for the same values it championed 100 years ago?" One Youtube user called this the network's worst show so be patient, but there's some good dialogue in here, especially from Sean and Karima Brown, who called South Africa's democracy incredibly vibrant. She also makes a point to differentiate between lack of democracy and protest over the speed of development, calling South Africa and the ANC dominated government a developing country dealing with what it means to govern. Towards the end she begins to give her best remedy. Leaders must increase their intellectual capacity and focus not just on developing policy but also on actually influencing it.
