Red Hot Stolen Moments: Red Hot + Cool

A compilation album that was released in 1994, featuring a collection of hits that paired up Donald Byrd and Ronny Jordan with Guru (from the group Gangstar). Also, The Roots with Roy Ayers, Digable Planets with Lester Bowie, and the list goes on. It does not hurt the album at all that it wraps up with two versions of the Jazz classic A love Supreme by John Coltrane: one by his wife Alice Coltrane and the other by Branford Marsalis. Stolen Moments, with its wide variety of artists and styles, manages to capture the relationship between Jazz and Hip-Hop in a light that should not be missed by a fan of any of the names mentioned.
