The World War Against African History Since 1968 / John H. Clarke

"Should have never been called Black Studies in the first place... the proper ethnic name of a people must always relate to land, history, and culture... the historical geography of their origins. We were throwing our fists in the air talmbout 'BLACK POWER', WE HAD NO POWER. We talk about 'NATION TIME' and we WERE NOT EVEN PRODUCING OUR OWN UNDERWEAR.

We should have kept our damn mouths shut and quietly we could have opened a underwear factory in a basement in Harlem.

Let me put in crudely so you understand me. A people who cannot make their drawers cannot rule a nation. And that's the one thing that we don't have an excuse for not making, cause nobody's looking at them... So you got time to practice and get it straight."
